The Logo is an important part of an lca. This time is no different. Mark and myself have discussed the logo at some detail and some length and have come up with this
Shape and form of the Logo
- 1st The logo should have Tux and our Platypus exiting out of the Brisbane River at Southbank's beach with the Brisbane skyline and the Expressway in the distance. I would like to get a proper artist working on this but in the mean time I'll do my best to come up with something they can work on. -- Matt and Mark 4/4/09
- 2nd Do away with the city scape and just use Tux and the platypus. I have a drawing that my next door neighbor supplied which if altered to suit would look good. -- Matt 2/5/09
3rd Okay after a lot of talking about the logo with Mark we have another idea that might work out better. Simply use foot prints of Tux and the platypus along with the words linux.conf.au Brisbane 2011. Here is my attempt at it matt_lcalogo_11_05.svg
Requirements of Logo
- The logo will be on our website, booklet everywhere so it's important that it's as versatile as possible. A good example of this is Tuz. Tuz can be drawn in 2 colours. He can be fleshed out into a 3d form or just fleshed out. We need to be able to do this with our logo. A good example of this is with the Akubra hats. If we go through with the plan they will be laser engraved with the logo. This means that the logo must look good in 2 tones for it to work.
