As a group, HUMBUG is too big to all work on something productively, so when something needs to be done that is too big for one person, we make a project group.

Developers Special Interest Group

There is a large contingent of developers within Humbug, this group is designed to let Humbug focus on their needs. Impromptu discussions on all areas of software engineering are common at meetings. The primary means of communication within the group is via the DSIG mailing list.

Cluster Special Interest Group

CSIG is purely interested in clustering Unix computers, setting up clusters, programming clusters, and using clusters. As with DSIG, the CSIG mailing list is important.

CSIG meets during the normal HUMBUG meetings at the rear corner of the room. That set of tables is reserved for the cluster itself, and it's front end. Any HUMBUG member is welcome to come and annoy us with cluster talk and you do not need to do anything special to be a part of it all. CSIG reserves the right to allocate time on the cluster if the need arises.
